Someone: Tarot has such deep symbolism and astrology, numerology, the Kabbalah, the I Ching, runes, and chakras add all these layers of symbolism and your readings won’t be as good without them.
Me: All of these things were shoehorned into tarot (which began as a game and you can still play it as a game), are incredibly watered down and completely divorced from their historical concepts.
