Good God , it seems like no one can congratulate these poor kids on being brave without giving the credit to fucking Harry Potter or Les Mis. 

like, ya know, these kids not only read these books and watched these films, but they also watched real-live black people do walk outs-sit ins and create entire movements all while receiving death threats from Police and regular citizens, they watched out leaders get assassinated. they watched black judges bodies being found”,They saw protester after protester  go “missing” or “found shot” in their homes/cars.  they saw week after week white murders walk free and black people rise up.

No buddy, they watched their fellow citizens stand up despite appalling opposition. they applied black civil rights tactics they placed importance and focus on LIVES lost,and LIVES that MATTER. 

All this cutesy nerd credit does nothing but erase the very real inspiration and  praxis created by black people, and placing it upon white , fictional bodies.
