DENISSE & MICHAEL – LOS ANGELES, ORCUTT RANCH WEDDING

(Listen while viewing: Sufjan Stevens-Mystery of Love) The roses were bursting the day Denisse married Michael. It was deep spring, and every leaf was green, every bird was singing, and every blossom was in bloom. I absolutely loved going back to the woodsy corner of West Hills where I shot my first wedding; even moreso then, both because it was the season for flowers, and because of how close I’d grown to Denisse and Michael. As they said read their vows beneath the dappled sunlight, they reflected the season in every way: bright, warm, full of hope, and brimming with possibility. I’ve finally gone through and picked some of my favorite moments from their day to share here. This is their wedding story.

As always, a huge thank you to the ever-amazing Chloe for second shooting! It was a homecoming for her as well; we shot our first wedding together at Orcutt Ranch, when she volunteered to be my assistant for Cecile and Paolo’s wedding years ago. It was wonderful being there again, and seeing how much we’d grown! Thank you, Denisse and Michael, for having us!
