I was so excited about Hayley Kiyoko’s “Curious” vid when it came out, but so many of the YouTube comments were full of lesbians saying that Hayley was dunking on these “slutty indecisive bi girls” and like…no???? no that’s not what it’s about at all????? don’t project your shitty bigoted shit onto hayley, she’s better than that. literally watch this vid from Genius and hear Hayley dissect the song line by line and you go ahead and tell me where she supports ur biphobic ass. i’ll wait.
I’m relieved to see that over time, those comments have been downvoted into oblivion or simply outnumbered by more positive things (I have no idea how YouTube’s comment formula works), but I just remember the hype the day the vid came out and rushing to YouTube and just being made to feel so small by the barrage of biphobic stuff from other fans. Not a good feel.
