A couple weeks ago now, on Friday, my coworker was biking to work which she does every day, when she just. Skidded. There was a ton of blood and she hit her head HARD. If my other coworker hadn’t been driving behind her it could have ended very different.
As it stands she was hospitalized for a week and in that time was bleeding consistently. She had several fractured bones, and one of the worst concussions my manager has ever seen. Memory loss, trouble speaking, the whole shebang. She’s at home now, getting daily doctor visits, and the doctor says it’ll be at least a month until she’s ready to walk around, possibly longer
This was just a pedal bike . On her daily routine.
And she was wearing a helmet. If she hadn’t been, she would be dead right now
