(During what I believe was Cannes) Mads Mikkelsen did a Mark and Me Podcast, and they were talking about how Mads felt stepping into the shoes of Anthony Hopkins (interestingly, Mads didn’t go back and watch Hopkins’ performance until a year after he started playing Hannibal) and the interviewer the year previous had done an interview with Hopkins (important to remember that Hopkins doesn’t do interviews anymore) and he doesn’t watch any TV, but he watched 1 episode of Hannibal and thought Mads was fantastic.
