the “yucky stuff” is what the pumpkin needs to fulfill its purpose as a fruit. instead of fulfilling its purpose, the pumpkin is violently made into the happy-looking simulacrum of something it is not, much like christianity as an institution does to colonized and lgbt people. a good cartoon.
