Now that Alain’s Season 4 is out in its entirety, I can finally talk about how thrilled I was to write it! I’d missed my sweet, tragic, plant-loving boy!
This has been my favorite season of Alain so far. The previous three seasons have been romantic and exciting, but there’s always been a power imbalance between Alain and MC. This season, they finally got to address it!
They’re growing together, just like any two people who’ve known each other forever have to in order to take care of themselves and one another. Alain and MC have had a rocky road to happiness. Navigating that takes time and hard work, and very few people get it right on the first try. But MC and Alain want each other’s happiness above all, and they’re willing to do what it takes to be together. Exploring their journey has been such a rich experience. Alain is a character that I love as much as any of my OC’s, and all I want is the best for him.
Season 5 is going to be buckwild, so get psyched! And as always, thank you so much for reading. I love seeing everyone’s responses to the episodes as they come out; each season takes so many hours to write, and knowing that people are enjoying it makes it all worth it.
If you’re not playing Love & Legends yet, now’s a good time to start! The series is wrapping up, which means that you have hours of content to play through with very few “oh crap when does the next season come out?!” cliffhangers to worry about. You can download the Lovestruck app for FREE on iOS, Android, and Amazon!
At the beginning of this summer, @sailorscooby told me that @theivorytowercrumbles would have to step away from writing Altea Bellerose for Love & Legends. Ivory is an incredible writer, and they’ve done an amazing job of writing Altea as a complex, lovable, tenacious, brilliant little pink wizard over her first six seasons.
I was excited and just a little nervous when Scoob asked me if I would be interested in taking over Altea’s route moving forward. I know how much Altea means to fans, and Ivory’s writing has set the bar pretty high. But in the end, I was too excited for this fantastic opportunity to let my nerves scare me off. I’m delighted to announce that I wrote Altea’s Season 7!
I’ve worked with Ivory and Scoob to make sure that I stay true to Altea throughout this transition. I’ve loved getting to know her better through this process, and I can’t even tell you how much fun I had writing her family this season. The fact that I happened to start on this particular season was great because I’m fluent in French, so I had a blast peppering that into the script as the ladies explored Eclaciel. Thanks again to Scoob for trusting me with the world’s sweetest magical girl. I’m incredibly proud with what the Lovestruck team has created with Altea’s seventh season, and I hope that all of you have a great time traveling with her to Eclaciel! Happy playing!
My cosplay of the Love & LegendsMC from Voltage’s Lovestruck visual novel game. Inspired by the stories of Alain Ritcher, Helena Klein, and Altea Bellerose.
alains frozen heart, with some detail. I know people got issues with this story and its worth a chat, for sure, but i really just felt bad for him, being 100% apathetic. Been there bro, don’t want to go back. This has been my warm up sketch for the past couple of days, i’ve been trying to work more on values vs line
@lovestruckvoltage‘s theme for may is Spring Flowers, so I decided to draw my fave L&L ot3 with some good ol’ flower symbolism about their characters and their routes:
Helena: a crown of carnations (pride, beauty; white specifically is pure love), and holding three amaryllises (splendid beauty, worth beyond beauty)
MC: a crown of chrysanthemums (fidelity, optimism, joy), and holding a protea king (change and transformation, daring, resourcefulness, and courage)
Alain: a crown of edelweiss (courage, devotion), and holding three daffodils (regard, chivalry, rebirth, happiness)

Hi everybody! I’ve been working on a secret writing project for months, and now that it’s been released in its entirety I can’t wait to let you guys in on it. I’m proud to announce that I wrote Alain Richter’s second season in Love & Legends! I loved playing through Alain’s first season when @nihilnovisubsole introduced me to Lovestruck, and so I can’t even begin to describe my excitement when I was given the opportunity to write the next installment of his adventures. Thanks to everyone who’s been playing Alain’s route, and I hope you enjoyed season two as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Working with @sailorscooby and the Lovestruck team has been a delight, and I can’t wait to let you know where Alain is going next! If you don’t have the Lovestruck app yet, it’s available in the App Store, on Google Play, and from Amazon. If you’re as much of a sucker for romance as I am (and I KNOW some of y’all are), I can’t recommend this game enough. A friend described it as “the most plot-centric romance game I’ve ever played,” and that’s a testament to the team’s dedication to love stories that have complex characters and page-turning plots as well as some AMAZING romance. Give it a try! There’s a ton of awesome LGBTQ content in Lovestruck too, and as a queer writer I’m proud to work for a team that values representation so highly.
