i just love that one of the first observations about ronan that we get from adam’s pov is that he doesn’t understand casual relationships or infidelity, and then in trk adam thinks “he was pretty sure he had just been ronan’s first kiss” when they have their kiss, and he knows that ronan kissing him means that he basically wants to spend the rest of his life with him, and of course it’s heavily implied that adam has known ronan was gay before the series started

like even though they’ve most likely never actually talked about any of these things and ronan is a very private person and puts on a front that says the very opposite to most people, adam just Knows all of this, what is it about ronan lynch that screams “gay monogamous virgin who has obviously never kissed anyone and mates for life”

  • calling ronan ‘ro’ and ‘babe’ and sometimes ‘darling’ in his most exaggerated henrietta twang (which drives ronan crazy) (in a good way)
  • bringing home little presents for opal every time he visits just to see her smile: a harvard baseball cap, a handful of confetti from a birthday party he attended, a sparkly pen he found at the store for like 50c, a collection of coca cola bottlecaps,..
  • absentmindedly running his hands over ronan’s buzzcut whenever they’re cuddled up on the couch watching tv
  • lending his lecture notes to all his coeds because he knows they’re top notch and he wants his peers to thrive as well
  • trying to look tough by wearing ronan’s leather jacket to nino’s and getting irritated because blue, henry, and gansey are just laughing at how flustered ronan is the whole time
  • how he pets chainsaw and lets her rest in the crook of his arm or on his shoulder whilst he waits for ronan to finish his chores
  • constantly texting his friends about things that remind him of them, sharing inside jokes, and liking every single insta post his friends upload
  • rolling up the hems of all of his pants for the Aesthetic™, coveralls included
  • laying his head to rest on ronan’s shoulder and holding his hand, interlacing their fingers
    • closing his eyes for like two seconds like this and dozing off immediately
  • chasing opal through the vast fields that stretch beyond the barns
  • kissing ronan in airport arrival halls, train stations, supermarket parking lots, at nino’s, at breakfast in his dorm’s cafeteria, when visiting 300 fox way, during mrs gansey’s fundraisers, at the aglionby class reunion gansey makes everyone go to a couple of years down the line, after his graduation ceremony,… any time he wants, without regret and without shame.
